A women’s rights activist and an ardent feminist, Ostrowitz is the founder of the feminist periodical Noga and has been one of its editors since 1980. In 2000 she received the Esteemed Award of the Women’s Network for her many years of diverse and extensive activities in promoting the status of women.

Ostrowitz is an architect and is also a graduate of the Department of Film and Television in Tel-Aviv University. Together with Orna Ostfeld, succeeded in their initiated appeals to the Supreme Court of Justice, on the issue of equal resource allocations to women’s sports, and bringing an end the discrimination of women in sports broadcasting.
