Four out of five senior women managers in the business world were active in sports during childhood. Most of them maintain that the values acquired through active involvement in sports – discipline, team work, competitiveness and risk taking ability – contributed greatly to their success in business and in life in general.
Girls that routinely participate in a sports activity in comparison to girls that are not involved in a sports activity have much better chances to graduate high-school and later to achieve professional and academic success.
The qualities sportswomen gain enhance their self esteem and value in their own eyes and in society at home and at work. Research a similar influence reported in women who are indirectly involved in sports in the roles of active fans accompanying and cheering teams from their seats.
